Producer Jimmy Bowen was a very important influence for me. He almost lived at United in the mid-sixties, producing a seemingly endless string of hits, including 'Strangers In The Night' and dozens of Dean Martin records. He showed me how the session should work. And Keely Smith was so very friendly and became a personal favorite of mine. Well, they evidentally didn't go the distance - but I sure thought they were a great pair at the time.
